Short answer: rent hanfu close to where you plan to spend your time in it — you will be out in a long skirt with styled hair, so less travel in costume makes for an easier day. Many visitors dress up in the south of the city, around the Big Wild Goose Pagoda and Datang Everbright City, or in the centre near the City Wall. How renting hanfu works

Tang, Song and Ming styles, with sizes for men, women and children (700+ outfits as of May 2026). Tell us where you are heading and the feel you want.
Done one-on-one to suit your face and the outfit. Disposable makeup tools are used, and outfits are washed and sanitized for each guest.
Take photos with your phone or a travel buddy, or add a separate photo package (about 40–60 minutes) if you want a photographer.
The return time is agreed when you book. The studio is open daily 10:00–21:00.

Included: makeup & hairstyling

Not included: photographer
A photographer, original files and retouching are not part of ¥199. If you want photos taken for you, add a separate photo package; price and number of photos are confirmed when you book.
