Suggested timeline (adjust to your booking)
Book your reservation in advance with your passport. Give yourself a couple of hours for the Tang-era galleries and treasures.
Yunjin Chang'an is about 1 km from the museum, next to Crystal Orange Hotel. Walk or take a short taxi ride.
Choose a Tang-style (or other) hanfu outfit, then makeup and hairstyling one-on-one. ¥199 = hanfu + makeup & hair; photographer not included.
Take a short ride to the pagoda. The North and South Squares are open spaces where you can take photos without rushing.
Walk south along the boulevard as the lights come on: Tang-themed sculptures, street performances and night views. Walking the boulevard is free.
Return at the time agreed when booking. The studio is open daily 10:00–21:00.
Tang dynasty dress-up: what to expect
- Outfits: Tang-style robes with high waistlines and flowing sleeves, as well as other hanfu styles; sizes for men, women and children can be checked when booking.
- Makeup & hair: styled to match the outfit, including Tang-inspired looks.
- Price: ¥199 package = hanfu + makeup & hairstyling. Photographer and photo editing are separate packages.

Photo tips for the day
- Afternoon light around the pagoda squares is soft and good for full-length shots.
- Blue hour on Datang Everbright City, right after sunset, balances sky and lights.
- Carry a small bag so your hands stay free for sleeves and props.
- On holidays the boulevard gets very busy; side areas away from the main axis are calmer.
